Many of the psalms found in the Bible are shocking in their honesty, as the writers pour out their anguish and confusion to God about the suffering of His people. They highlight the importance of raw honesty in our own relationships with God. As we continue through Lent, we will use some of these psalms of lament to reflect on the tough experiences and feelings that we need to bring before God, if we are going to have an honest relationship with him, and receive his loving response to our deepest questions and needs.
